Rain Gardens for Clean Water Tour

Want to help the environment while solving problem spots in your yard for 75% off? Looking to transform your yard this year with a landscape all of your neighbors will talk about? Try a unique, native, and beautiful rain garden!

Join us on Saturday, April 29th (FREE OF CHARGE) to see rain gardens in homes near you and meet people just like you who have already taken the plunge to install one. This educational event will feature local rain garden experts and provide opportunities to see rain gardens in the Ellicott City area. We hope that this event will help you decide whether a rain garden (and rain barrels) are right for you!

Never heard of rain gardens or rain barrels? This link will give you some basic information.

We will also provide information on the Rain Gardens for Clean Water program, which will send a contractor to consult with you for installation at only 25% cost to you. The program even includes an additional maintenance package for those of you who do not want to maintain your own garden.

Free bus transportation will be provided to and from Miller Branch Library in Ellicott City. You must RSVP (link below) for this event, as we have limited space available.

RSVP for 10 a.m.-12 p.m. tour. Click here for agenda

In the event of significant rain, we will postpone the event to Saturday, May 6th at 10 a.m.

This event will be mostly outdoor, so please prepare appropriately (sturdy shoes, sunscreen, etc.) .

A huge thank you to the participating homeowners and our event sponsors, the Maryland Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers (MAFSM) and the University of Maryland Sea Grant Extension!
