As defined in Title 20 of the Howard County Code, Section 20.1106; any property owner may request an adjustment of the Watershed Protection Fee within 30 days after the date the bill is issued. Grounds for adjustment are limited to: an error regarding the impervious surface measurement, a mathematical error in calculating the fee, or the identification of the property owner invoiced is in error. If you believe there is an error in your bill as defined above, this form should be completed and submitted to the Office of Community Sustainability WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE BILL ISSUE DATE. Click SUBMIT below once or print and mail the form to Office of Community Sustainability, ATTN: Watershed Protection Fee Adjustment Request, 9200 Berger Road, Columbia MD, 21046. NOTE: Submitting an adjustment request DOES NOT DELAY THE BILL PAYMENT DEADLINE. YOU MUST PAY YOUR BILL BY THE DUE DATE TO AVOID INTEREST AND PENALTIES. If an adjustment is granted and it results in a credit balance on your bill, you will receive a refund for the credit balance from the County.
